15. Battery

On the Taycan's Battery Energy Control Module (BMS) STEUER14 adds a Battery tab: a map of every cell module of the high-voltage pack and the pack readouts, judged the way the tester judges them. The whole battery module is free on every plan.

Reading the battery

1. Open the Battery Energy Control Module — it opens on the Battery tab.
2. Press Read battery. The car must be connected.
3. The pack map on the left draws the pack as it sits in the car — the Performance Battery (PB, 28 modules) or the Performance Battery Plus (PB+, 33 modules), each module numbered from M01. Every module shows its voltage, its cell drop in mV and a balance gauge, coloured green, amber or red against thresholds that depend on the state of charge. The highest and lowest modules are tagged MAX and MIN.
4. The readouts on the right are grouped and each judged with a pictogram:
5. Energy — state of charge, state of health, usable energy, energy content
6. Pack — pack variant, pack voltage, cell delta, discharge and charge limits
7. Temperature — max / avg / min
8. Isolation — insulation resistance Battery + / −, System + / −

Full screen and report

• Full screen opens the map and readouts in their own window, sized for a second screen.
• Print report creates a PDF with the map and every readout — for the customer or the car's file.

Every battery read is saved to your account history (Battery reads), where the full readout and the module map can be reopened later — in the app and in the web panel.
